In iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, How Do you handle notifications

With iOS 15 and iPadOS 15, Apple has made it even easier to manage your notifications by allowing you to pick when — and where — you view all of your alerts.

While notifications are undoubtedly beneficial, receiving too many at once can be overwhelming. You can now limit disruptions throughout your day thanks to new features in iOS 15 and iPadOS 15.

We’ll teach you how to customize your alert styles, create notification summaries, and manage your group notification preferences.

You may choose what kind of alerts you want by changing your alert style, which includes lock screen, notification center, and banner alerts. These functions work the same way they did in prior iOS and iPadOS versions.

How to change alert styles

  • Open the Options menu.
  • Choose whatever alert style you want under Notifications under Alerts.

Notification Summary is the feature for you if you want to be reminded to check your notifications on a regular basis without receiving them all at once.

This new feature allows you to plan when notifications are displayed to your lock screen, which might be useful if you want to reply to your alerts at specific times throughout the day.

How to Create a Summary of Notifications

  • Open the Options menu.
  • Select Notifications from the menu bar.
  • Select Scheduled Summary from the menu.
  • Toggle the Scheduled Summary on or off.
  • Select all apps you want to include in the summary under Apps in Summary.
  • To create a new schedule, go to Schedule and hit the Add button.
  • Tap the Remove icon to remove schedules.

You may also customize how notifications are sent to your home screen and how they are categorized. All alerts from a given app are grouped together by organizing criteria, such as subject or thread if they are put together automatically. When notifications are grouped by app, all notifications for that app are grouped together.

How can I adjust the notification settings for a group?

  • Open the Options menu.
  • Choose the app you want to group.
  • Select Notification Grouping from the menu.
  • Select Automatic, By App, or Off from the drop-down menu
